100 Plus Applications for Dusters
For years Dust-Off® cleaning dusters have been a staple for the care and maintenance of computers and other electronics.
However, a Dust-Off duster is a truly versatile cleaning tool with a multitude of applications. Some of these uses will provide unique and beneficial ways to use Dust-Off® Duster in and around your home and office.
Automotive

If you are one of those passionate people you are likely to be just as concerned about the inside of your car as the outside. But what you probably didn’t know was that a Dust-Off® cleaning duster can be used to blast dust and debris out from all those hard-to-reach areas inside your car.
A Dust-Off® cleaning duster is the ideal cleaner for dashboards, dashboard vents, radio control panels, areas around the steering column, the center console, and even the seat rails.
Dr. Dust-Off Tip:
- Step 1: Open your car windows or doors for sufficient ventilation.
- Step 2: Use a Dust-Off® Duster to blast dust, cookie crumbs and other debris out from all those nooks.
- Step 3: Use Dust-Off® Wipes to effectively clean the top of your dashboard. Note how dust is actually attracted to the cloth via its electrostatic charge.
- Step 4: If you have touch screen consol, Use Dust-Off Screen Spray to remove finger prints and other debris.
- Step 5: Vacuum as normal.
- RESULT: A fresh, clean car interior that matches that of your exterior.
Silk Flower Arrangements

Silk flower arrangements can give anyone a green thumb, however, while they don’t need water they do require an occasional dusting.
The difficulty in performing this much needed task is that it can be time consuming to wipe them down with a cloth. However, a Dust-Off® Duster can provide an easier alternative. Simply deliver a few quick blasts of cleaning power and your silk flowers will look like new.
Model Preparation and Cleaning

You are about to invest some serious time in building that model car, train, ship or plane. The last thing you want to have happen is to discover an imperfection in the finish. Using a Dust-Off Duster to blast away any dust particles before decorating/painting your model will insure a perfect finish.
Model Makers Proud Display
The preparation was perfection. The model you just completed looks great. You’ve displayed it proudly in your showcase or on your bookshelf. Like anything else on display, the collection of dust is inevitable. But when cleaning models you have to be careful with these delicate little treasures, a little too much pressure at the wrong time and in the wrong place and you’ll be breaking out the glue.
Using a Dust-Off cleaning duster enables you to blast dust from those hard-to-reach areas without concern for breaking the model.
Dr. Dust-Off Tip:
Be careful not to tilt the duster at too extreme an angle; in doing so you run the risk of dispensing the product in liquid format, which may cause plastics to discolor. It is best to keep the can in the most upright position and move model accordingly.
Household Cleaning

Cleaning and dusting around the house is a pretty straight-forward undertaking. Just grab your rag and appropriate cleaner and off you go. Seems simple enough…right? But how about when it comes time to clean the bookshelves that house your collectible figurines, or family photos, or books? What do you do to clean the mini-blinds? How do you clean the louver slats on your closet door? How do you clean the dust buildup on your stereo speaker covers? How about the annoying dust on lamp shades?
Dr. Dust-Off Tip:
- Use Dust-Off Dusters to clean the dust that adheres to my cloth mini-blinds
- Use Dust-Off Dusters to dust shelving units that have a lot of stuff on them. It is easier than removing everything and dusting with a regular cloth.
- Use Dust-Off Dusters to clean my cloth speaker grills.
- Use Dust-Off Dusters to blow off dust from drapes and lamp covers. Especially if the lamps have cloth covers.
Collectibles

While the activities of collecting and displaying are greatly enjoyed, the activity of cleaning our collectibles is not so enjoyable. We all have our hobbies, for many of us it involves collecting – baseball cards, figurines, dishware, model trains, wicker baskets, die cast collectibles and so on.
In part cleaning is a concern because of the delicacy of the items themselves. We do not wish to break or damage our treasures because a rag got caught on an extended arm or airplane wing.
Clean around your delicate items with ease. A Dust-Off Duster offers a simpler solution. Deliver a few quick cleaning blasts to the item to be cleaned and the dust will be blown from the surface. Leaving your collectible clean, and your mind at ease.
Shaving or Hair Cutting Equipment

If you are a hair stylist/barber or if you have an electric razor or beard trimmer at home, you know that one of the biggest annoyances in using such products is cleaning the clipper area.
Hair collects in and around the unit and you need to get out a little toothbrush to make sure you get in between the cutting teeth. However, there is an easier way.
Keep a Dust-Off® Duster close at hand and with a few quick blasts in the right places your hair clippers will be clean and ready for the next cut.
Jewelry Cleaning

Gemologists and professional jewelry designers may already know the secret of using a Dust-Off Duster to clean jewelry for display in a store. They may also use a Duster when you come into a store to have your jewelry cleaned.
A Dust-Off Duster can remove dust and debris from a bracelet, pendant or elegant ring making the jeweler sparkle and shine like the day you first picked it up in the store. Regular cleaning allows you to show off your dazzling assortment of jewelry every time for any occasion.
Dr. Dust-Off Tip:
After taking the piece out of the ultrasonic cleaner, use a Dust-Off® Duster to remove any loose dirt and cleaning solution. Now you can have the same professional jewelry cleaning procedure right at home.
Cleaning Photography Equipment

Dust-Off® Dusters were originally used for the safe and effective removal of dust and lint from photographic negatives and camera lenses and mirrors.
Today, Dust-Off® is still used for this same purpose. However, photographic aficionados have additional uses including:
- Blasting dust off an about-to-be printed film.
- Remove dust that clings to glass while I am framing.
- Cleaning slides before returning them to their cases.
Carpentry/Woodworking

Avid woodworkers can use Dust-Off® Dusters to clean out small cracks, holes or grooves that we have created in our projects. Also, after a woodworker is finished they can use Dust-Off® Dusters to clean all the dust and wood chips from their tools and materials.
Dr. Dust-Off Tip:
When using a Dust-Off Duster to clean your tools, make sure that they are turned off and unplugged.
It is also important to reference one of Dr. Dust-Off’s noted Do’s and Don’ts while the product is not defined as flammable it can be ignited under certain conditions. As such be sure that the product is used in the most upright position to ensure that the product is not dispensed in its liquid format. It is also recommended that the product not be dispensed inside the housing of a saw engine or drill where sparks may occur.
However, if used properly a Dust-Off Duster can be a very useful shop tool!
