Dusters and the Environment

Environmental Responsibility has always been an essential part of our manufacturing mission. Since 1994, the majority of our cleaning dusters have been made with HFC152a, and a smaller percentage have been made with HFC134a. We have chosen to promote and support the use of HFC152a over 134a for a variety of reasons. Most importantly, HFC152a has 89% less global warming potential as compared to HFC134a. Simply stated – It is the environmentally responsible choice.

In fact, Falcon Safety Products, Inc. was the first company worldwide to fill its dusters with HFC152a. Prior to our switch, our competition used HFC134a exclusively in their dusters. However, in an effort to keep pace with the market leader, many competitors have switched to using HFC152a in their cleaning dusters, and as the market leader, Falcon takes great pride in setting the standard for environmental and product safety in our industry.
